Basileus
Basileus is a Greek term that has signified various types of Monarchs throughout history. In the English speaking world, it has most widely been understood to mean ‘King’.
The Barossa is the King of red wine regions in Australia and Clare Valley the King for Riesling. To celebrate this, we have sourced small parcels of grapes from selected growers in the Barossa and Clare Valleys and handcrafted them into wines that reflect this name in our small batch winery.
Predominantly from a single vineyard in the Stonewell area blended with smaller parcels from Bethany in the south and Angaston to the east, Basileus Shiraz & Grenache really are a taste of the best of the Barossa.
Basileus Riesling is sourced from a single vineyard in the renowned Clare Valley, home to Australia’s most distinctive wines for this challenging variety.
